In addition to the work we do with the HBIC organization, part of our corporate purpose is to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Ventura Foods and our employees.

To the end, many of our locations contribute and participate in local events and philanthropies throughout the United States. These community programs and local events are unique to each of our locations and while some are supported by that location, many are the personal contributions of our dedicated employees.

HBIC (Help for Brain Injured Children)

Ventura Foods is a long time supporter of the Help For Brain Injured Children, Inc. (HBIC) organization and sponsors several events throughout the year.

  1. GOLD (presenting) Sponsor of the Annual Scott Simpson Charity Golf Tournament - For more than 25 years HBIC has presented this fantastic outing for golfers, both seasoned and rookies alike, as a means of raising funds for the programs they provide. Ventura Foods, along with other local businesses and organizations help to create an exciting day for all!
  2. Invitation/Design/Print Sponsor & Provider of the Annual Gourmet Food Affaire & Auction - As HBIC's largest and longest running fundraiser, this annual gala brings together food samples from local restaurants and eateries, more than 100 silent auction items, and an exciting LIVE auction….all in one location.
  3. Christmas gift provider for the students/clients - Christmas and the Holidays are always a magical time of the year. As part of HBIC's annual Holiday Show, presented on-site, a special appearance is made my none other than Santa Clause himself; providing gifts to all of our children & young adults, provided by his fantastic elves at Ventura Foods, LLC.

HBIC MISSION: To provide a safe and caring environment with programs incorporating academics, physical development, positive behavior support, vocational training, independent living skills and communication training where all children and young adults with disabilities have the opportunity to develop to their maximum potential and improve their quality of life via a "highly qualified" staff; all-the-while providing support and encouragement to their families.

Help for Brain Injured Children, Inc. (HBIC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and recognizes that each child is a unique person with their own difficulties in coping with the demands of society and believes that all children should be afforded the opportunity to maximize their potential. HBIC has operated continuously since 1967 and is vitally concerned with the academic, physical and environmental condition of children and young adults with disabilities. Seeking to help remedy these conditions, HBIC assists in the educational and physical processes with the most appropriate programs available. HBIC realizes not every person will achieve "normalcy," but without exception, those who receive daily stimulation do show improvement. A person who functions better is a happier human being.
